How is this different from a normal neck fan?
A normal neck fan only moves the air that is already around you, which in August is hot air. AeroFrost adds semiconductor cooling plates that physically pull heat out of your skin, plus a rear air outlet so the breeze reaches your back and not just your face. You feel a real temperature drop, not just wind.
How cold does it actually get?
The NTC-controlled plates drop the temperature on contact by around 10°C, and the superconductive aluminium spreads that cold 2.6 times faster than standard aluminium. In practice a 38°C afternoon starts feeling like a room with the air conditioning on.
Will it catch or pull my hair?
No. The turbines sit behind a fully enclosed housing with an anti-tangle guard, so there is nothing exposed that hair, a necklace or a shirt collar could get caught in. Long hair is completely safe.
Is it loud enough to bother people around me?
It runs at 29dB or below, which is quieter than a library. The brushless motors make almost no vibration, so you can wear it on a call, at your desk or on public transport without anyone noticing.
