Does it really cool, or does it just blow air?
Both, and that is the point. The turbine moves air around you in 360 degrees, and separately a thermoelectric plate sits against the back of your neck and physically drops the surface temperature by 11 to 16 degrees. The airflow keeps you dry, the plate keeps you cool.
How long does the battery actually last?
The 4000mAh battery gives up to 15 hours on the lowest fan setting. Running the cooling plate alongside the fan draws considerably more power, so expect a few hours in that mode rather than a full day. A complete recharge takes around four hours over USB.
Is it loud? Can I wear it around other people?
It runs at 28dB or below, which is quieter than someone speaking softly across a room. The brushless motor produces almost no vibration, so you can wear it on a call, in an office or on a train without anyone noticing.
Will it catch my hair?
No. The blades sit fully recessed inside the housing with no exposed opening wide enough for hair to reach. Long hair, necklaces and collars stay clear of the mechanism.
